What to include on every tree service estimate
- Property address and a short description of the job (removal, trim, stump grinding)
- Tree species and size, since that drives both price and crew/equipment needs
- Access notes — crane access, tight driveway, proximity to structures or power lines
- Line-item pricing rather than one lump total, so customers can see what they're paying for
- An expiration date on the quote (30 days is standard) and your deposit terms
Printable estimate vs. building it in ArboristDesk
This template works fine for a company writing a handful of estimates a week. Once you're writing several a day, retyping the same template into a document editor gets slow, and there's no record connecting the estimate to the schedule or the eventual invoice. ArboristDesk's estimate builder uses the same structure but pulls line items from a saved pricing library and turns an approved estimate directly into a scheduled job and, later, an invoice — without retyping anything.
